Pronounced, YARE-ba MAH-tay, yerba mate is
a shrub that belongs to the holly family, Aquifoliaceae. Yerba
mate contains over 190 volatile chemical compounds. Two-thirds
of the chemicals contain the same components as green tea. A
confluence of phytochemicals, polyphenols administer performs
like a stalwart antioxidants. They represent anti-carnigenic
effects. The polyphenols work by empowering an organism.
Predominantly, grown in Argentina, Paraguay,
South Brazil and Uruguay. The plant is best cultivated in a
rainforest environment where it maybe sheltered away from sunlight
by an upper canopy. At the University of Illinois in 2005, researchers
evaluated 25 type of yerba mate. Higher levels of antioxidants
were found in the mate compared to green tea. The cell studies
suggested that yerba mate may have prevented oral cancer.

Clinical trials have associated dietary levels
of antioxidants such as beta carotene, lypocoene, vitamins C
or E with a reduced risk of both heart disease and cancer. The
leaves of yerba mate have been found to offer strength while
the stems inspire energy.
In Thermadrol, yerba mate leaves are bundled
and then moved over an open flame. The open fire acts as a way
of impeding oxidation. It protects the plants from fermenting.
More importantly,
according to researchers at the University of Madrid, the nutritional
value of yerba mate is significant because it contains magnesium
and polyphenols. The proven tradition of yerba mate yields an
energizing and nutrient weight loss pill in Thermadrol.
